Next Monday, May 22nd, will be our final music class of the school year! (I absolutely cannot believe it…)
To celebrate a school year of music making, we will dedicate our final class to a Musical Sharing & Talent Show. I’ve invited the children to bring in their instruments to perform their favorite piece or song, to demonstrate their favorite dance moves, or to bring in a favorite musical work to listen to. Performances are optional- if you child does not want to perform I have asked them to bring in a favorite song or music video listen to with the class.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email me!
The 1st & 2nd Grade May Noontime Recital will be at 12:10 on Wednesday, May 17th.
Here are the songs we selected – we can’t wait to perform them for you!

The 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades have spent the week composing original arrangements of some of our favorite songs. The song this week was, “You Are My Sunshine,” and next week we will take a trip down Abbey Road and learn “Octopus’s Garden.” There was an overwhelming request to post next week’s song on the blog to get a head start on ideas for next week!
Happy Friday!
